The use of hair oil is treated differently: half of the clients cannot imagine taking care of their hair without it, and the other half are afraid to start using oils until they know how to choose the right oil for their hair type. Many modern famous stylists like to work with natural and non-toxic products, so natural hair oils occupy a significant place in their practice. If you've decided to try oiling your hair, or haven't had good results in the past, check out these proven tips:

FOR THICK, CURLY OR COARSE HAIR, TRY JOJOBA OIL.

For thick, curly or coarse hair, I usually recommend jojoba oil. It has the ability to nourish the hair with both healing and smoothing properties. Jojoba oil is also incredibly beneficial for men! I've found that most men don't like the airy factor of freshly washed hair. So, men, use this oil when your hair is wet or right after it dries, it will give it the perfect "Day 2", clean, not airy and without excessive frizz.

Jojoba oil is fatty. This is one of the reasons I love it: its penetration and healing properties are just right for dry, rough or frizzy hair. If you have this type of hair, then jojoba will give you everything you need.

At first, it is important to take the oil in your hands and first rub it between your fingers to ensure even distribution through the hair. When your hands and fingers are completely covered with oil, then know that you are ready to begin the procedure. Twist strands of hair around your fingers, work in sections, or use a gradual scraping technique, moving from the middle of the finger to the tips with your fingers. When you have oil on your fingers, then any of these methods will be acceptable. This will allow the oil to penetrate into all the cells of your hair, bringing maximum effect.

FOR MEDIUM TO FINE HAIR, TRY A "DRY" OIL.

For fine to medium hair, the best option is to use a "dry" oil - they are not as heavy as other oils, allowing fine hair to retain volume, movement and shine. Dry oils are actually not that dry; they are simply lighter and able to penetrate the skin and hair very quickly, rather than just covering them.

From dry oils, one can distinguish - argan oil, squalane oil and rosehip oil. When you apply this oil to damp hair and let it dry on its own, you will notice that it brings out the natural texture of the hair. When applied to dry hair, the oil will not change the shape of the hair - it will just add texture and shine.

These oils can be used a little more generously than other types of oil. My favorite tip is to use it when your hair is wet. Use the oil pulling technique from the top of your head, spreading the oil from the middle down through your hair to the end. Twist your hair or tuck it behind your ears (so you have those cute little waves around your cheekbones when you dry). Once your hair is dry, use the oil as a "spot addition", using a little more at the ends or a little closer to the roots if you want curly hair. Less - more - you can always choose what you like best.

TIP FOR ALL HAIR TYPES: USE OILS AS A HAIR TREATMENT

Any of the above hair oils work very well as an overnight treatment for any hair type. My favorite way to use natural oil is not just for the purpose of styling, but as a treatment. Since natural oils do not contain silicone additives, they can be a little uncomfortable when it comes to styling your hair.

I recommend going to bed with oil on your head, or when doing your daily activities, keep oil in your hair, or put on a cute little headband over your oil-drenched head while you cook dinner - these are just certain points through which you can start to lead a healthy lifestyle. life, at least for their hair. But don't rely on these natural oils as a finishing product, its main function is to treat the hair.

  • Rinse your hair with hot water to open the cuticles.

  • Squeeze excess moisture out of your hair and apply a generous amount of oil to your hands, then apply it to your hair.

  • Stretch the oil from roots to ends with a damp, open-bristled or wide-toothed brush.

  • Wrap your hair in a hair towel or put on a shower cap and leave the oil in your hair overnight.

  • In the morning, rinse your hair with a mild, sulfate-free shampoo and enjoy shiny, clean and healthy looking locks.

Another oil that is great for healing is Playa oil. This oil is suitable for both men and women who expose their hair to elements such as salt, chlorine in the pool water, environmental aggressors, and so on. This oil will give your hair super hydration and is suitable for any type of hair.

You may have to experiment with different oils and how to use them, but once you find the right one, these oils can make a huge difference in how you work with your hair. If you ever tried coconut oil and something went wrong, know that you can find options for other oils for any type of hair.
