Honestly, do I need to tell you how milk is good for health? Because I'm just going to repeat everything that your parents already told you as a child. Instead, let me tell you why milk is a lifesaver for your skin.

First, it has vitamin A and biotin, which give new life to dry skin. Then there's vitamin D and calcium, which stimulate collagen production in your skin. Vitamins A and B6 ensure that your skin continues to produce new cells. But most importantly, lactic acid, vitamin D and vitamin B12 remove dead skin cells from the skin and fight all types of pigmentation, especially dark spots.

Its excellent anti-darkness properties, combined with the fact that it slows down the aging process of the skin and the way it fights free radical damage, makes milk a great choice to get rid of all your dark spots. So, here's how we like to use milk in the fight against dark spots.

Method number 1 :

Facial mask - Milk and honey

The lactic acid of milk combined with the gentle healing properties of honey combine to make a face mask fit for a queen.

What you will need:

  • 4 tablespoons of milk

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • cotton pads

Mode of application:

  • Mix milk and honey in a bowl.

  • Using a cotton pad, apply the paste on your face.

  • Massage it in circular motions for about 10 minutes on the stained area.

  • Leave the paste on for another 10 minutes, then rinse with water.

How often?

Daily.

Method number 2 :

Facial Mask - Milk, Turmeric and Sandalwood

The recipe for this method of making a mask from milk, turmeric and sandalwood can be found in ancient Ayurvedic skin care methods. And, of course, this recipe has survived to this day thanks to the fact that this mask works wonders when it comes to removing dark spots on the skin.

What you will need:

  • 2 tablespoons of milk

  • 1 tablespoon sandalwood powder

  • ½ teaspoon turmeric

Mode of application:

  • Mix milk, sandalwood powder and turmeric in a bowl until they form a thick paste.

  • Spread this paste all over your face and leave it to dry completely.

  • Wash off with water.

How often?

Every day.

!!! WARNING: People with acne-prone skin may experience acne flare-ups after contact with milk. It would be better for them if they replaced milk with buttermilk or yogurt.

Tips: The regular milk you buy at the store is often from cows that have been given hormones to increase their lactation. These hormones are transferred into milk and will enter your body as if you were consuming the same hormones yourself, wreaking havoc on your skin. Therefore, try to use organic milk as often as possible to avoid any side effects.
