INNA CODRU , MAY 18, 2018
Now you might be thinking, "Are you serious? Fuck?! Wouldn't this be a mockery of my skin?" Yes, horseradish is a pretty pungent vegetable, but it's exactly what's great for removing those pesky dark spots from your face.
It contains vitamin C, which acts as a powerful antioxidant and fights free radicals in your skin, which are a major contributor to visible signs of aging.
Vitamins A, B-complex vitamins, zinc, potassium, magnesium and the calcium content in horseradish work together to cleanse dead skin cells, rejuvenate it by increasing collagen content, and stimulate the production of new skin cells. And, as a result, they help to expel all those annoying dark spots from your face. Here's how we use it.
Method number 1 :
Facial mask - Horseradish paste 😂
Even a simple application of this vegetable paste can do wonders in getting rid of your dark spots.
What you will need:
- 100g raw horseradish
- Water
- Blender
Mode of application:
- Cut the horseradish into small pieces and beat it with a blender into a paste along with a little water.
- Apply the paste on your face, paying particular attention to dark spots and leave it on for 20 minutes.
- Wash off with water.
How often?
Daily.
Method number 2 :
Facial mask - Horseradish, apple cider vinegar and honey
This is the perfect combination because while horseradish reduces dark spots, apple cider vinegar exfoliates dead cells, and honey gently heals and restores the health of your skin.
What you will need:
- 100g raw horseradish
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Blender
Mode of application:
- Grind horseradish with a blender 😵
- Add apple cider vinegar and honey to the resulting paste and mix thoroughly.
- Apply the mixture on your face and leave it on for 30 minutes.
- Wash off with water.
How often?
Three times a week.
!!! WARNING: Be sure to apply sunscreen to your face when you go out after using any of the above products, as these mixtures can temporarily make your skin very sensitive and vulnerable to UV rays. In rare cases, horseradish can cause skin and eye irritation.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should stay away from horseradish as it has been found to cause miscarriage and other complications.
Tips: You can grind 4-5 horseradish at a time and store them in an airtight container to keep them ready for your weekly home routines.
