As beauty experts, it's our job to try any tips, techniques, tricks and tricks to make us even more beautiful. Well, how else are we supposed to know if they actually work? )). Sometimes, when we are lucky, after trying out a new technique, it actually becomes part of our daily life.
Our latest obsession? Face massage! See what happened when one of our experts practiced a relaxing skincare technique - facial massage - every day for a full month.
When it comes to getting any treatments for me or my skin, I can't get past some of my all-time favorite spa treatments. Case in point: facial massage. This spa-like skin care method is very relaxing, so be aware of this when you go for a facial. One of the reasons why I love facial massage so much, apart from all of the above, is that it also helps relieve tension in the facial muscles. A facial massage can even give you a fresh complexion, make you glow with a youthful glow... and who doesn't want that?!
Last month, I decided to enjoy a facial massage one more time, but made it my mission to practice the facial massage every night for five minutes for a month. Look what happened:
WEEK 1:
At the start of my month-long facial massage session, I didn't know what to expect from this venture of mine. I read a few reviews online about some of the options for skin care and frequent facials, but I didn't want to be gullible and rely on other people's results (there were really a lot of good reviews). But regardless of my skepticism, I was definitely looking forward to starting one of my favorite skincare routines, daily for a month.
After cleansing my face first with an oil-based cleanser and then with a water-based cleanser - I try to constantly cleanse my skin with such a "double whammy"! - I start moisturizing the skin of the face: a combination of moisturizer and serum infused with neroli oil. Everything, now I'm ready for a facial massage.
Within just a few days of doing these evening facials, I began to notice that my skin surface was absorbing moisturizer and serum faster than usual. By the end of the week, the facial massage had become the highlight of my evening skincare routine. Not only did I start seeing small results, the tension in my facial muscles began to melt away and my old complexion returned. There was less tension in the facial muscles, they became more relaxed.
WEEK 2:
To make facial massage a regular part of my daily routine, I set myself a reminder at the same time every day to remind myself that I need to take care of my facial massage after my usual evening routines. However, by the second week, I was practically counting down the seconds until it was time for my little massage.
At the beginning of the second week, I noticed a couple of changes in the appearance of my skin. First, a slight blush appeared on my face. And two: My dry skin looked and felt softer and smoother than usual. And by the end of the week, I noticed that the puffiness around the eyes became less noticeable. Of course, it took some time before the results appeared ... but girls, they are worth it!
WEEK 3:
In the third week, I decided to switch to one product that I have always liked, I tried pure cocoa butter for the face (as opposed to the moisturizer and oil blend for the face that I used before). And you know, I really liked it. My facial massager glided over my skin so easily, it was so intoxicating, I could literally feel my skin being relaxed and nourished.
By the end of the week, I noticed a natural radiance on the surface of the entire skin of the face, and the swelling and fatigue of the skin around the eyes had almost disappeared. Also, my facial muscles started to feel less tight than a few weeks before and my skin is even more supple and smooth.
WEEK 4:
It's been a week since my experiment, but it was definitely not the last week of my facial massage sessions - by the time the fourth week came to an end, I could no longer imagine my life without this procedure!
In terms of results... the difference between my skin when I first started regular facial massage and my skin four weeks later was promising. The healthy glow of the skin that I first saw in the second week remained intact, the skin looked softer, softer and more elastic, and the puffy bags under the eyes were barely visible - perhaps the result of several days when I had to sleep less than usual. In any case, if possible, conduct such an experiment with your facial skin. You'll like it!
