Oatmeal isn't just a nutritious way to start your day, but it can also be a great addition to your regular skincare routine and act as a weapon against those pesky blemishes. The texture of oatmeal and the saponins it contains make it an excellent exfoliator and cleanser that effectively removes dead skin cells.

Its antiseptic properties help reduce irritation and treat acne, acne scars and dark spots. The unique thing about oatmeal is that it can balance the oil content of your skin, making it beneficial for both oily and dry skin types.

All of these different properties of oatmeal combine to make it a great ingredient when used in home remedies to remove age spots.

Two times a week.

!!! WARNING: Make sure you grind oatmeal into a fine powder before adding it to your facial formula. Otherwise, its large grains and rough texture can scratch and irritate the skin.

Tips: Since there's no chance it will ever get old, you can grind up a full bag of oatmeal and store it in an airtight container to save time when using any of the aforementioned home remedies.

In the second method, if you don't have loose green tea on hand, you can take green tea from a tea bag and use it.
