STRENGTHEN AND REPAIR YOUR HAIR AFTER THE SUMMER WITH THESE SIMPLE WAYS
How to restore hair. Revitalizing hair masks at home.

As beautiful as it is, summer can wreak havoc on our hair. Heat from the sun, salt from the sea and chlorine from swimming pools draw moisture out of our hair, making it brittle. If they are not treated immediately, they can lead to more serious damage. I see this very often with my clients. Let's see how to restore hair at home by eliminating the effects of UV exposure.
Fortunately, hair is almost always receptive to a little post-season maintenance. With these simple recipes, which you probably already have the ingredients in your kitchen, you can give your hair a nourishing treatment that will help replenish moisture in sun-depleted hair and scalp.
RESTORING HAIR MASK, WE USE OIL
Nutrient-rich oils hydrate the scalp as well as the hair itself. This is one of the best ways to restore dry and frizzy hair naturally.
I suggest choosing the right oil for your hair:
- Moisturizing oils: coconut oil, avocado oil
- Nourishing oils: jojoba oil, olive oil
- Oils to restore the sebaceous glands: magnolia seed oil, black cumin oil
Mode of application:
Using a quarter cup of oil (approximately 50 ml), massage the oil into the scalp and work it into the hair to the very ends. (If you use one of the moisturizing oils, be careful - you will have to shampoo your hair several times to wash it out. To avoid this, use it from the middle of the hair to the ends). Tie your hair into a bun if necessary and put on a shower cap.
I suggest leaving the oil to "work" on your scalp for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight, as this is the best time for maximum hydration. Shampoo as many times as necessary, concentrating on the scalp, and then rinse with your favorite conditioner. Oils help seal moisture into the cells and keep hair smooth and shiny.
YOGURT - NATURAL HAIR CONDITIONER
Another healthy hair treatment that you can have an ingredient in your fridge is natural yogurt. It can be used as a deep conditioner after shampooing. One of the biggest benefits of yogurt is the protein, which provides a major benefit to this hair conditioning method. If the sun's rays make hair brittle, the protein and fat in yogurt coats the hair strands and returns the nutrients our hair needs to keep it strong and healthy.
Mode of application:
After you have shampooed your hair, lightly blot them with a dry towel, then take 100-150 ml of yogurt, and massage it into the scalp with light massaging movements, removing any possible sunburn or flakes from the scalp, then brush it all over the hair until the very ends. Let the yogurt work for 20 minutes, then rinse and repeat if you feel you need extra hydration. If your yogurt is too greasy or smelly, wash your hair with a light sulfate-free shampoo, then let it dry naturally without using a hair dryer.
EGGS - FOR STRENGTHENING AND RESTORATION OF HAIR STRUCTURE
If your hair has become especially brittle, then using an egg is one of the oldest methods for caring for dry hair. Eggs are full of protein and biotin, a B vitamin that has been shown by scientists to promote the growth of healthier, thicker hair. It has been successfully used in various studies for the treatment of hair loss. Eggs both condition the scalp and promote healthy hair growth, as well as coat the hair with minerals such as sulfur, which makes hair shiny and silky.
Mode of application:
For the cure, you only need half a cup of beaten eggs. You can do this on towel-dried or even dry hair. Skip the yolk if you have very thin hair or don't need extra moisture. Egg whites are really great for cleansing and clearing the scalp of dead cells and excess oil. Spread the mixture over your head and massage it into your hair and scalp. Tie your hair into a bun if necessary and put on a shower cap. Leave the mixture on your head for 20 minutes, then shampoo and conditioner as usual.
If you cannot decide which treatment is best for you, then you can use all three treatments together. Take 1 cup of yogurt, 1/4 cup of butter of your choice, and 1 egg. Blend everything together until you get a creamy consistency, then apply on your head and massage it into your scalp and hair. Leave the mixture on for about 20 minutes and then wash your hair with sulfate-free shampoo as many times as needed, finishing with your favorite hair conditioner.
Try not to put off restoring your hair. It is better to do this immediately, at the end of the summer season, so that it is easier for your hair to gain its original strength and sparkle with the same colors.
