GET RID OF CELLULITE. TIPS AND RECIPES

How to remove cellulite at home. Recipes for anti-cellulite scrubs.

INNA CODRU , APRIL 12, 2019

Cellulite is one of those things that, although few people are happy with, is often presented as a necessary evil. This is not entirely true. While cellulite is completely normal, there are steps you can take to dramatically improve the appearance of your skin. Cellulite, at least most of it, can be eliminated.

It often depends on the cause of cellulite and your skin type. It may also depend on the area covered with cellulite, the skin.

To get rid of cellulite, you will need a body scrub. The good news is that you don't have to spend a fortune on it in stores or order online. You can create your own amazing scrubs with ingredients you can (mostly) find on your kitchen shelves.

So, here is your guide to making and using a homemade anti-cellulite body scrub.

WHAT IS CELLULITE?

Cellulitis is known by several other names, including orange peel syndrome and dermopanniculosis. It is, to some extent, a form of hernia in the skin. Fat in the connective tissue of the skin moves to the surface and forms lumps. The skin then dimples around the fat.

Cellulite usually appears on the thighs and buttocks, but it can also appear on the lower extremities or abdomen.

Women suffer from cellulite more often than men, and girls and women who are sexually active are much more susceptible to this. There are many more people researching cellulite and how and why it forms, but it seems to be a physiological element of our lives. Researchers believe that it may be hereditary, but also, its appearance may be associated with female hormones.

Excess weight is also related to the formation of cellulite, but is not its main cause. In fact, thin people can suffer from it too, just as much as those who are overweight. Cellulite is just more noticeable in overweight people.

It doesn't affect your overall health, but it can look quite unsightly, which makes some women cover their bodies more and worry about what others will say.

The good news is that you don't have to put up with cellulite. You can make a homemade body scrub for cellulite. The trick is to stimulate the breakdown of fat particles. When you get rid of fat lumps, you can smooth out your skin in a short time.

CELLULITE TREATMENT REQUIRES CONSTANTITY

While getting rid of cellulite is relatively easy, you don't have to stop. The bad news is that all the options offered today, although effective, require constant application, especially when it comes to home remedies.

When using scrubs, you are only treating the symptoms. You do not suppress the formation of fat in your body. Your task is to break the bonds in fatty fibers and completely break down fat, which just helps to get rid of cellulite.

One thing you definitely need to do is incorporate these anti-cellulite home treatments into your skincare routine. You will have to constantly help your skin maintain a toned and beautiful appearance.

When using home remedies, you will get many other benefits for your health. Many of the ingredients used have additional antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. As a result, you get more collagen, healthier skin cells and a radiant looking skin. As a result, you will want to show off your legs!

CREATE THE BEST HOME CELLULITE SCRUB

So what do we need to create our perfect homemade body scrub? Here are five recipes that work great so you have a choice depending on your lifestyle and dietary preferences.

1. Coffee grounds and avocado are the best scrub options

You may have noticed that many homemade scrub recipes use coffee grounds the most. All because this ingredient is one of the best.

Coffee grounds contain caffeine, which helps stimulate various elements in our body. Most importantly, it will stimulate collagen production. And when you have more collagen, the elasticity of the skin will also improve, and this is extremely important in the fight against cellulite.

Coffee is also full of antioxidants. They help fight free radicals and oxidative stress. When skin cells are quickly renewed, it helps to significantly improve the appearance of the skin. And when the skin looks good, then people focus less on the appearance of cellulite.

Avocados are a great option to pair with coffee. It is loaded with healthy fats. I know what you might be thinking: what else was missing, add fat to your fat.😄. I can assure you, avocado fats are great for the skin. They help with collagen production and help with some sebum production disorders. Avocados also help improve skin cell health by adding more hydration and vitamins to your skin.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coffee grounds

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • Puree from one avocado

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Cooking method:

  • Mix everything in a bowl, mash to get a paste-like consistency

The resulting scrub should be rubbed into the skin in a circular motion. This helps to break down some of the fat particles deeper under the skin, increasing blood flow in your body. When your skin receives more blood, water, and antioxidants, collagen production will increase.

After brushing, let the paste "stand" for 15 minutes to absorb into the skin. Wash off with cold water. Cold water will help shrink your pores and speed up blood flow. You will feel a surge of energy that helps the body defend itself against cellulite for a while.

2. Replace avocado with coconut

Instead of an avocado, use coconut oil to lubricate your scrub. The advantage of coconut oil lies in the presence of antioxidants in it and the antibacterial properties of this oil. You massage it deep into the layers of the skin to give no chance of infection. You not only make your skin more beautiful, but also healthier.

Coconut oil is one of the best moisturizing oils for the skin. It will take some time for it to soak in and penetrate deep into its layers.

However, this is not the best option if you have oily skin. Coconut oil will sit on top of the pores and can clog them, causing problems with natural oil production. However, it is a great option for people with dry to very dry skin.

Ingredients:

  • Half a glass of coconut oil

  • 1 cup coffee grounds

  • 1 cup sugar

  • Half a tablespoon of cinnamon

Cooking method:

  • Melt coconut oil

  • Mix everything until smooth

Store the scrub in an airtight container. It is advisable to use this remedy at least once a week for best results. The sugar in the mixture is good for exfoliating the skin. You can also use salt instead if you like. Salt can sometimes be preferred due to its cleansing properties. And choose sea salt if you choose to use salt, as it is less dehydrating to the skin.

3. Add oatmeal

Oatmeal has long been used as an ingredient in skin care. It soothes and moisturizes. Its particles also, when rubbed into the skin, help in cell regeneration.

If you notice, many homemade scrubs use coffee grounds the most. This is because this ingredient is one of the best nourishing and exfoliating agents.

Oatmeal is the best to use if you have irritated or sensitive skin. It is pH neutral and helps to alleviate and reduce inflammation if present.

Ingredients:

  • Half cup of steamed oatmeal

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 2 teaspoons coffee grounds

  • 10 drops essential oil (of your choice)

  • 2-3 drops of cinnamon oil

Cooking method:

  • Mix everything in a jar, shaking occasionally to mix thoroughly

You need to rub the mixture into your skin. This will help improve circulation. With good circulation, collagen production is known to increase. And this, in turn, will help improve the appearance of the skin in the future.

Rinse with warm water, but then rinse with cold water. It just helps to revitalize the skin cells.

This procedure can lead to dryness over time, especially depending on the type of essential oil you choose to use. But it's also an exfoliating option that doesn't contain a lot of natural oil. So be sure to moisturize your skin after using it.

By the way, milk is a good conditioning ingredient. It is full of protein, which helps support collagen production in the skin.

4. Mix sea salt and brown sugar

If you don't want to use coffee grounds, you can opt for a mixture of sugar and salt. Sea salt is by far the best option as it is less dehydrating for the skin. It's best to avoid table salt, as manufacturers tend to add chemicals to table salt.

Salt and brown sugar exfoliate the skin. It can help revitalize skin cells, activating them to help shed fat deposits.

This recipe also calls for lemon juice and honey as additional ingredients. Both of these products are full of antioxidant and antibacterial properties. They will help brighten the skin and unclog pores. Not only do you get cellulite-free skin, but you can get rid of acne, acne-causing bacteria, and dark spots at the same time!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 cup sea salt

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons honey

Cooking method:

  • Mix everything in a jar and mix thoroughly

Use the scrub on wet skin. This is the moment when you can use all the goodness in sugar 😊😊😊 as it doesn't take time to absorb better into the skin 😊. Rub the mixture in circular motions to improve blood flow to the skin. You can use a washcloth or sponge to help improve the exfoliating properties.

Try to use cold water to wash everything off your skin. It will only help your skin get rid of cellulite.

5. Try grapefruit and aloe vera

The fifth option on the list gives you all the benefits of using vitamin E. Find fresh and juicy aloe vera leaves, this plant has a whole host of benefits. Vitamin E will help repair damage to your skin. It perfectly moisturizes the skin cells.

Grapefruit essential oil is beneficial due to its acidic properties. It does not work as harshly as lemon on sensitive skin and does not cause problems associated with increased sensitivity to ultraviolet radiation. However, this is citrus oil. But be sure to do a patch test to make sure there is no allergy or skin irritation.

Ingredients:

  • 100 g aloe vera gel

  • 15-20 drops of grapefruit essential oil

Cooking method:

  • Mix two ingredients

Massage the mixture directly into the skin and let it fully absorb. This is one of those products that you do not need to wash off afterwards, so do this procedure at night, when there is no need to rush anywhere.

GETTING RID OF CELLULITE TAKES TIME

Getting rid of cellulite in your body is not something that will happen overnight. It will not be possible to use one of the above procedures once and immediately see the results. It may take several days to see the first positive results. And in the future, you will need to use these procedures with a certain frequency in order to constantly keep your skin in shape and without cellulite.

Home treatments should be part of your daily self-care routine. Your cellulite will return again if you stop using the scrub treatment for an extended period of time.

All of the options we have listed are temporary. But you can choose permanent ones by applying surgical methods and laser treatment methods. But our "homemade" options are cheaper, less aggressive and safer for the body.
