What you need to know about ready-made beams, why they are and how to use them.

A fairly new style of eyelash extensions that has recently appeared on the market - fluffy eyelashes, pre-divided into bundles to create maximum volume.

Although quite popular today, 1D extensions still remain. The advantage of which, let me remind you, is that extended eyelashes repeat the natural growth of eyelashes, gently emphasizing their density and is ideal for lovers of natural makeup. BUT....

Today we will talk about even more popular 2D - 5D extension options. Now you can find options for both 8D and even 10D, which is certainly interesting, but not so popular, because not every girl dares to use beams on herself that are already a little short of a good panicle.

So, 2D, 3D, 4D and 5D ready-made buns are modified lash designs to create professional volume (also called "pre-made volumizing buns"). One bundle consists of two (2D) three (3D) four (4D) or five (5D) ultra-thin and extremely light pre-treated lashes carefully arranged on a Y-shaped sticker strip for easy grip and quick application.

What is the advantage of using ready-made 2D 3D 4D 5D bundles in eyelash extensions over standard general eyelash pallets?

Fluffy 2D lashes are usually 0.07mm and 0.10mm in diameter. 3D in 0.07mm, 0.085mm and sometimes 0.10mm. 4D in 0.05 and 0.07 mm. 5D diameter 0.05mm and 0.06mm. Eyelashes in bunches have ideally the same thickness and length. No additional effort is required. No need to waste time creating "beams" - manufacturers have already done it for you.

Beaming techniques are time-consuming, complex, and can be very tiring to master. This procedure is not easy even for very talented and experienced extension artists because it requires absolute precision. (several useful VIDEO LESSONS on beam formation can be viewed HERE )

For many lash experts, it's a constant workout, over and over again. It can take several weeks to master this technique, and some even months, because it is a very delicate and much more complex procedure than the classic 1D extension.

There are bundles and 8 and 10D and more. If you look at the picture, you can see that some manufacturers do not use "legs", but something similar to a platform. Such an extension is not worn for a long time, and is done for a specific event.

You can skip the long and arduous journey of learning the tufting technique. Save time and try out pre-made eyelash extensions for your clients. If you know how to do regular 1D eyelash extensions, then using 2D - 5D lash extensions will be easy. This is the same 1:1 method but with voluminous lashes. They may even look prettier than those that are handmade by self-forming buns. In addition, they are symmetrical and evenly distributed. Even the most experienced hand tufter cannot compete with quality finished tufts.

What are the benefits of pre-assembled Y, W and 3D, 4D, 5D lashes?

  Outwardly, such eyelashes look fluffy and luxurious, but quite natural, even if clients have sparse and small natural eyelashes. Sizes 0.05mm, 0.06mm, 0.07mm, 0.085mm and occasionally 0.10mm are ideal for clients who desire natural looking lashes with good volume. They are fluffy and soft to the touch. Quality lashes feel softer in tufts than classic "palette" lashes.

  
  

  1D extensions (one on one) for clients with naturally sparse lashes can end up spidery and look very unnatural. Because adding length to thin lashes can accentuate the distance between them, which in turn makes the lashes even more distinct.

  Modern artificial eyelashes are very light. The same goes for buns, they won't irritate or damage your clients' natural lashes. They are fluffy, light, strong and soft to the touch, sometimes even more than classic pallet lashes. They are more flexible and reduce stress on the natural lash due to their lighter weight. Clients will feel this, especially if they have done traditional eyelash extensions before.

HOW LONG DO THEY WEAR?

In principle, a well-made extension is worn until the natural lashes fall out naturally. But despite this, a lot depends on the quality of the eyelashes and tufts, glue and the correct work of the master. Prefabricated buns are slightly stronger than regular pallet shaped buns and last longer due to the larger bond area. The tufts are applied in such a way that there is a connection between the extensions and your clients natural lashes. This procedure provides a stronger bond, but with less adhesive. With proper care, light and ultra-fine pre-shaped buns are worn for 3 to 7 weeks.

WILL USING 2D-5D tufts HARM NATURAL EYELASHES?

No, it will not harm natural lashes. If you compare the technique of using ready-made factory lashes and the classic technique of eyelash extensions, you will see that it is usually not recommended to attach more than one artificial cilia to one natural one. This is because it will put too much stress and weight on the lash, which will reduce its natural vitality over time. The pre-treated volumetric tufts use 0.05mm, 0.06mm and 0.07mm superfine and ultrafine lashes to enable 2D, 3D, 4D and 5D expansion without damaging natural lashes.

This technique is also ideal for clients with sparse, thin, short, brittle and damaged lashes. Now you can help your clients achieve a fuller look without harming their natural lashes. Using less glue is also better for the health of your natural lashes, and you'll also find that you need significantly less glue.

What thickness of eyelashes is better - 0.05 mm, 0.06 mm, 0.07 mm, 0.085 and 0.10 mm?

We recommend:

• 2D eyelashes 0.07 and 0.10 mm thick
• 3D eyelashes 0.07 and 0.085 mm thick
• 4D eyelashes 0.05 mm thick

... this is for those clients who want a natural, everyday look. This option is ideal for those who want to wear eyelashes daily and continuously for several years.

For a glamorous (red carpet) look, we recommend:

• 3D eyelashes 0.10 mm thick
• 4D eyelashes 0.07 mm thick
• 5D eyelashes 0.06 and 0.07 mm thick

This setting will give your customers the "WOW!!!" factor. We do not recommend using this for a long time for clients whose natural lashes are weak.

Still not sure? If your clients want a little "oomph" without looking too over the top, use your imagination and mix them up! You can easily combine 0.05mm, 0.06mm, 0.07mm, 0.085mm and 0.10mm as well as 2D - 5D beams. Place thicker tufts on stronger lashes and thinner tufts on weaker lashes. Now your clients can get an absolutely fantastic look without requiring too much effort from you or damaging their natural lashes. It is also ideal for use in classic lash extensions to fill gaps in the lash line.
