How to do a manicure at home step by step
INNA CODRU , NOVEMBER 25, 2017
Without a doubt, a professionally done manicure or pedicure is an amazingly pleasant thing. I swear I can walk into my favorite nail salon and walk out a completely different woman an hour later. I think you've had the same feelings. But you must admit that there is not always time or money for such regular trips. But this does not mean at all that you can run your nails. You can try to make high-quality nail extension , but artificial nails also need care, and this is time and money. Therefore, no matter what, you definitely need to try doing a manicure at home yourself. But only if you have the right tools! So, let's put them in order and start - Manicure at home for beginners step by step.
- Nail polish remover (non-acetone) and cotton balls
- Nail file
- Block for polishing nails
- Exfoliating Sugar Scrub
- Cuticle Sticks
- Cuticle oil
- Humidifier
- Nail polish (base coat, base color and top coat)
You will need:
1. We start by clearing our "canvas".
Before you begin, make sure that the fingernails and toenails have been cleaned of any previous coating. And this should be done with a nail polish remover, preferably not based on acetone (Acetone not only has a not very pleasant smell, but also dries the nail plate, degreasing it, and with frequent use can lead to such a problem as brittle nails ) . Then use the clippers to gently trim your nails to the desired length and shape. I prefer to use a crystal (glass) nail file, as it does an excellent job with even the most delicate nails and, in addition, prevents damage (splitting) of the nail, unlike metal ones. Next, smooth the surface of your nails with a buffing block (this will also remove the ugly yellow marks we can often get from wearing dark polish too much!).
2. Soak and scrub
Soak your hands for two to three minutes and your feet for about five minutes. Now, time for exfoliation! To do this, simply mix one tablespoon of sugar with one tablespoon of baby oil gel and gently brush out dead dry cells. It smells fantastic and leaves skin as smooth as silk. Then we wash and dry.
3. Care for your cuticles.
Soften your cuticles by rubbing in some oil. After a while, your cuticles should be nice and soft, so go ahead and use an orange cuticle stick to give our cuticles a really nice shape. You can also use this tool to clean dirt and under the nail. Now, the fun part... the massage! Take a vitamin-rich moisturizer and rub it in lightly. Before moving on to the fourth step, wipe your nails with a degreaser. Remember, super clean nails are the key to a perfect manicure!
4. For a good manicure, don't skip the important base coat.
Apply a base coat to smooth out any ridges and create an even surface for your base color. One thin layer (apply gently and it will be enough) will do it!
5. Lacquering.
Applying nail polish is more convenient if you put your hand on a stand - a flat pad or a towel folded several times. Apply the paint over two thin coats of polish, let your first coat dry completely before applying the second coat. It is more convenient to paint nails from the little finger, moving towards the thumb. To do it like a pro (we strive for this, right? :) ), first make a wide stroke in the center of the nail, and the next two at the edges; Before painting each nail, the brush must be dipped in varnish, otherwise the coating on different nails will turn out to be different;

6. Fixer for manicure.
Applying a top coat is more than just adding glitter. It also smooths out any blemishes and blemishes, and often helps to achieve the perfect look. Only one layer is needed - that's all you need. To quickly update your manicure/pedicure, then within a week, add another layer of top coat. It matters a lot, trust me! It is desirable that the fixer contains an ultraviolet filter, then it will not allow the bright varnish to fade after a couple of days;
7. Relax... and don't touch anything)
Now just calm down and resist your urge to do anything other than lie on the couch and watch your favorite show. You deserve it (and your freshly painted nails too). For a perfect finish, add a few drops of Essie Quick-E Drying Drops, or other nail polish dryer, to your nails. While this is completely optional, it will certainly speed up the drying process.
You can easily check if the varnish is dry. To do this, lightly touch the nail of the other hand with the nail of one hand. If they do not stick together, the coating can be considered dried.
Use our tips, and you can easily make a beautiful manicure right at home without any problems.
